Durable, safe, and maintenance-free.
Quartz countertops are an engineered stone that provides the durability of granite, but without the hassle and worry of sealing and maintenance. These countertops are manufactured using a process that combines a specialized blend of quartz “chip and dust” and polyester resins and pigments.
Stone Gallery of the Lakes offers quartz countertops available in a wide range of colors featuring uniform crystal displays with an even distribution of color. Engineered stone countertops don’t support bacteria growth, viruses, mold or mildew, meaning they provide a safe and healthy living environment, require very little maintenance, and are extremely durable.
Natural stone typically consists of 20-60% quartz. Engineered stone contains around 90% quartz, giving it a higher tensile strength than natural stone surfaces, which provides unmatched strength and durability.
Engineered stone surfaces are non-porous, meaning food particles that could result in a bacterial breeding ground will not become trapped within the surface.
Because quartz is an impervious crystalline mineral, it is particularly resistant to absorption, making it a material that is extremely scratch and stain resistant.
Quartz does not require sealing and is easy to clean due to its non-porous composition. An ideal surface for kitchen and bath applications.
Stone Gallery of the Lakes carries several line of engineered quartz available in an array of colors and styles that are sure to enhance and beautify your space, including:
