Quartzite Countertops

Unmatched craftsmanship and expert installation.

Quartzite is a very hard metamorphic rock that originates from highly heated and pressurized sandstone. This surface material is ideal for any countertop surface due to its strength and long-lasting composition. Consider quartzite countertops for the strength, beauty and overall durability the material offers.

Quartzite is often confused with quartz. Though they may sound similar, they are actually very different materials altogether. Quartzite is a natural metamorphic stone formed when sand is heated and compressed within the earth. Quartz is man-made through pieces of ground quartz being combined with resin and polymers.

Key Benefits

Durability

Quartzite is the hardest of the natural stone surfaces, and typically denser and less porous than granite, making it very durable and highly scratch resistant.

Affordability

Compared to other natural stone surfaces, such as marble and granite, quartzite is comparable in price and typically less expensive.

Low Maintenance

Because it is less porous than granite, quartzite often requires little or no sealing; however, we recommend that you seal it just in case because it’s better to be safe than sorry when dealing with natural stone surfaces.

Natural Beauty

Base colors of quartzite countertops are typically white or cream, but sometimes beige, accompanied by hues of green, blue and even red and yellow.
